Awana Clubs
More than 200 children and their leaders are "hiding God's Word in their hearts" every week in Awana Clubs at East Side. Children learn about the Bible through activities, games, Council Time adventures, and missions opportunities, all while making friends and having fun! Awanas meet on Wednesday nights during the school year from 6:15pm to 8pm.

AWANA Puggles Club teaches toddlers simple Bible lessons through teaching cards, music and games. Parents receive take-home cards to reinforce the lessons taught. Each child receives a Puggles T-shirt with the friendly platypus mascot and related coloring pages.
AWANA Cubbies Club provides a framework for spiritual training in the home under the supervision of the parents. One handbook, filled with Bible verses and activities for parents to do with their children at home, is completed each year. Club activities include games, puppets, crafts and verses that are said to receive stickers and patches for the Cubbie blue vest. Story Time reinforces the Bible verses being learned.
AWANA Sparks handbooks teach basic truths about God, Jesus Christ, salvation and the Bible. A clear and consistent presentation of the Gospel message is made each week. The Bible is presented chronologically and details about Bible characters are told in captivating biographies. Students earn jewels to place in their aviator wings as they complete the three hand-books: HangGlider, WingRunner, and SkyStormer. They will memorize 65 verses within three years. Game Time offers team and individual competitions that are fast-paced and high-energy. The kids love this Game Time.
AWANA Truth & Training is designed to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Christ and to train them to serve Him. The 3 handbooks are each built around eight different questions about God, the Bible, salvation and Christian living. Students memorize eight different Bible passages for each question. At the end of the 2-year program, students will have memorized over 200 Bible verses to receive the cherished Timothy Award (2 Timothy 2:15).
