Church Membership
Members of East Side Baptist Church have accepted Christ as their Savior and Lord and have been baptized by immersion as a public profession of their faith.
New members are received into our fellowship in any of the following ways:
- by believer's baptism; click here to view/download baptism booklet (large file--may take a few minutes to open)
- by letter from another Southern Baptist Church where you've previously been a member
- by statement of faith (coming from a different denomination but having been baptized by immersion as a believer)
You can initiate the membership process at the end of any service by coming forward during an invitation time. A counselor will take you to our Community Room and help you with a Request for Membership card. If you prefer, you may contact one of our pastors during the week to discuss membership.
Prospective members are required to attend a Basics About East Side class before membership can be completed. The class is offered every other month after the 10:45am morning worship service, and lunch is provided with previous reservation.
